Graphics students at full steam!

Monday 24 March 2014

In March, HND graphic design students worked on a live brief for the London Museum of Water & Steam after the Kew based attraction underwent a £2.3 million redevelopment.

The brief challenged design students Kairon Clarke, Andreia Ferreira, April Holland, Clare Kutona, David Mant, Chris Newell and Saema Usman to create pieces of work that could be sold in the museum shop, promoted the museum and followed a narrative. The students work included postcards, wrapping paper, children's books and information boards.

"We were thrilled to work with the graphics department at Richmond upon Thames College and were very impressed with how well the students engaged with our collection," said Penny Jenkins, museum director at the London Museum of Water & Steam. "The standard of work produced was wonderfully creative and we now hope to stock cards and postcards designed by the students in the future."
