As part of our enrichment programme, our Esports students took an exciting trip to the British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) Pro League Grand Final at the Royal Air Force Museum in North London in September.

The Rocket League event, the biggest of its kind to date, brought together the eight top teams from across the UK Armed Forces community to compete for the championship title and celebrate the growing Esports and military community.

Congratulations to S.E.A Dragons, who were crowned champions following an impressive performance in the tournament.

From classroom learning to professional gaming

The visit gave our students the opportunity to experience a major live Esports event first-hand, connecting their classroom learning with the realities of competitive gaming.

Throughout the day, learners observed the importance of teamwork, communication, strategy and decision-making at the highest level of play, while gaining valuable insight into how professional competitions are organised and delivered.

The experience provided students with a greater understanding of the fast-growing Esports sector and the diverse range of roles that contribute to the success of large-scale events.
