Freshers’ Week Success
Thursday 22 September 2016On Tuesday 20th September over 500 students flocked to Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) to enjoy the first of very many events welcoming them to the college. With over 30 exhibitors, students were spoilt for choice when it came to signing up for enrichment activities, exploring career opportunities, joining sports teams and more. Among visiting organisations were The Rugby Football Union, British Transport Police, Admiral Group, Michael Wisher, Safer Neighbourhood and the Anthony Nolan Trust. RuTC’s Students' Union also welcomed their fellow classmates as they promoted the exciting year ahead for new and returning students.

The performance, which now in its fifth year, brings together dance groups from the local area and across London for a spectacular evening of celebration and creative talent.
RuTC Alumni Voted as Top 10 Future Leader
Wednesday 14 September 2016Former Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) student, George Imafidon, has been voted within the top 10 Future Leaders in an annual publication by Powerful Media, which profiles 100 of the UK’s most outstanding African and African Caribbean students and new graduates. George was excited to find he had been placed in 8th position in the publication, which will now appear in schools and colleges to inspire and empower other young people to take advantage of opportunities and create them if necessary.
RuTC Chosen as Film Location by Production Company
Friday 23 September 2016On Friday 23rd September Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) welcomed Rockendale Management and Production Company into the college to film a new TV series. Executive Producer, Michael Soyannwo, worked with a group of around 20 actors to film a classroom scene with acting students and a Headteacher. The 6 minute scene filmed at RuTC is part of a new TV series (the finer details of which are confidential) being pitched to various channels before full production commences.

Monday 3 October 2016As the local community gets excited for the development of Richmond Education and Enterprise Campus, Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) has discovered a collection of old photos from when the college was formerly known as Twickenham Technical Institute and Art School. Earlier this year, RuTC celebrated the artwork of a past student at Twickenham Technical Institute and Art School, Desmond Jones. Desmond attended the college in 1943, just 6 years after the historic images (featured below) were taken in 1937.
RuTC Electrical Engineering Students Receive Visit by UK Power Networks
Friday 27 January 2017On Monday 16 January, Level 3 BTEC Electrical and Electronic Engineering students at Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) were visited by Emma Barbour, Talent Acquisition Partner for UK Power Networks. UK Power Networks is one of the largest employers in the South East, and is looking to recruit across the area.
