The training restaurant has been a vital learning environment for thousands of future chefs and food service staff since opening to the public in 1989.
The restaurant's regular three-course lunch menus, themed evening meals and bistro evenings have provided the local community with hundreds of mouth-watering meals throughout the years, and has provided the College's catering students a platform to demonstrate advanced skills in their cooking and presentation techniques.
"We are delighted to be celebrating twenty-five years of Merits and thank our loyal customers for supporting us throughout the years," said Gillian Griffin (pictured, above), head of catering at the College. "I would also like to thank our students and my team for all their hard work. I hope our customers have enjoyed their anniversary meals and we hope to continue to serve them for many more years to come."
