On 12 December, the College’s Level 3 Dancers took to the auditorium for their annual Winter Showcase.
The show consisted of a wide range of styles of dance, including jazz, contemporary, ballet and tap dancing. All choreography in the shows was designed by teachers with the help of the students, which allows them to gain valuable experience as part of their course.
Family and friends of dancers in the showcase were invited along to watch the performances, which were held over three nights in the College’s Auditorium.
Dance teacher, Hannah Booth, was thrilled to be involved with this term’s dance showcase.
“Not being able to go ahead with our Christmas production last year made this one even more special. It’s a wonderful opportunity for our dancers to showcase their talents, as well as demonstrate their hard work from the last term to family and friends. We’re very proud of how our students overcame a difficult term to produce such a lovely performance.”
Each performance was well attended, with an audience of around 45 people each night resulting in roughly 130 people coming to support the dance showcase.
Around £275 was raised at the shows through ticket sales, which will go towards helping to fund the next showcase in May.
