RuTC Art & Design Course Co-ordinator hosts Tour at RA Summer Exhibition

On Monday 17th July, Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) Foundation Art & Design course co-ordinator, Caroline King, hosted a Summer Exhibition tour at the Royal Academy of Arts (RA) in Piccadilly.

The tour, titled Summer Exhibition edit: Further Education Advisory Group, explored Caroline’s selection of the Summer Exhibition 2017 at the RA which is now in its 249th year and provides a unique platform for emerging and established artists.

Caroline is a member of the RA Further Education Advisory Group who meet with the Learning Department regularly to guide the development of the FE students offer.

Caroline told the RA that “teaching vocational Art & Design within Further Education is extremely rewarding. It enables you to work with students who are excited by, and open to, the wonders of the creative world and are establishing the creative path they wish to take.”

Around fifty people attended the tour which lasted thirty minutes.
