The event began with a welcome from John O’Shea, Deputy Principal, Curriculum & Student Services for RuTC, who gave an update on the college’s new build. The audience then heard from Phillip Jefferies, Head of Skills Strategy, EDP and South England for ECITB, who spoke about the new apprenticeship levy and what it means for their individual businesses.
Businesses that attended the event included SAS International, Atlantic Construction, the National Physical Laboratory, The Lensbury, Richmond Borough Chamber of Commerce, ECITB, Saipem, SSS Gears, Mace Group, LGC, RLEC, English Heritage, CSR Group, the London Borough of Hounslow and Twickenham Job Centre.
The event was hosted in the college’s very own Merits Restaurant which is training the chefs and food service staff of the future.
