Rosie McKeown, aged 18 from Surbiton, has achieved outstanding results including an A* in French, an A* in Spanish and an A in English Literature. Rosie has accepted her offer from Cambridge University to study Modern and Medieval Languages at St John’s College. Rosie stated “My results were a brilliant surprise and I’m very much looking forward to studying at Cambridge where I’ll be exploring my passion for languages. Richmond upon Thames College has been fantastic in supporting me during my studies and my French teacher was a particularly brilliant teacher!”
Haleigh Bellamy, aged 18 from West Molesey, has achieved outstanding results including an A* in French and A grades in both English Literature and History. Haleigh has accepted an offer from Oxford University, Wadham College, to study History and commented “I’m very excited to study at Oxford University. I chose to study History there because I enjoyed the course at Richmond upon Thames College so much that I wanted to study it further. Richmond upon Thames College has helped me throughout my studies and UCAS application by providing lots of support.”
Miriam Tomusk, aged 18 from Mitcham, achieved outstanding results of 38 points in her International Baccalaureate which secured her a place at Oxford University, Corpus Christi College, to study English and History. Miriam commented “I’m really excited to study at Oxford University; I thoroughly enjoyed studying both English and History at Richmond upon Thames College and I now feel very well prepared to pursue an international teaching career.”
Sebastian Willey, aged 20 from Wimbledon, has been offered an unconditional place at Plymouth University to study Dentistry. Sebastian took a gap year after achieving outstanding A Level results including three A grades in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Sebastian commented “I’m extremely happy with my results and am very excited to study Dentistry. Becoming a Dentist is something I’ve wanted for a while now as it has the perfect combination of studying science and working with patients. Richmond upon Thames College has helped me to achieve this goal and I’m very much looking forward to the future!”

Pawan Saunya, aged 19 from Isleworth, has achieved outstanding A Level results including A* grades in both World Development and Business along with an A in Economics. Pawan has now gained a place at London School of Oriental and African Studies to study World Development. After 6 months at Lampton School Sixthform, Pawan moved to Richmond upon Thames College. Pawan commented “Originally I didn’t enjoy studying but the staff at Richmond upon Thames College took the time to teach me the benefits of education and helped me to choose the subjects I enjoyed. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve what I have if I didn’t attend Richmond upon Thames College and I’m now very excited for the future.”
Daniel McGann, aged 18 from Isleworth, was extremely happy to achieve an A grade in his A Level Finance. He has secured a Finance Apprenticeship with Kingston Council and commented “I’m very excited for the future; RuTC has helped me throughout my time at college and my offer came through whilst I was gaining support from RuTC’s Career Advisors.”
Good friends Summy Gordnia (aged 19 from Kingston) and Christian Iannello-Tovar (aged 19 from Camberwell) were very pleased with their A Level results which have secured them both places at university to study International Business Management. Summy will be going to Brighton University and Christian will be attending Coventry University. Christian commented “I’m very excited to start studying at university!”

Bailey Cownley, aged 18 from Shepperton, has maintained outstanding attendance and behaviour over his two years at RuTC and has now achieved D*D*D* in his Engineering BTEC Level 3 course. Bailey will be going on to study Maths, Electronic and Computing Engineering at Brunel University. His Engineering teacher stated “Bailey puts in 100% effort into his work. He will no doubt be an excellent contributor to the world of engineering. He has an excellent rapport with both staff and his peers and the staff think very highly of him. Bailey is very much a team player and is always helping and supporting other students in his class.”
Sandra King, aged 18 from Ealing, has achieved outstanding results in her Sports and Exercise BTEC Level 3 course with results consisting of D*D*D*. Sandra will be going on to study Sports and Physical Education at the University of East Anglia and commented “I’m so pleased because I now get to embark on a new chapter of my life and follow my dream of becoming a PE teacher!”
Amir Shebana, aged 17 from Teddington, has achieved outstanding results of D*D*D* in his Engineering BTEC Level 3 course. Amir will be going on to study Mechanical Engineering at university and commented “I’m so happy with my results and am very much looking forward to studying Engineering further at university!”
