Film Festival triumph

Three talented media students from Richmond upon Thames College have picked up prizes at the inaugural Twickenham Alive Film Festival. Isaac Whittingham, Dias Mussirov and Ben Elgar successfully submitted short films to the festival which attracted entries from as far as Japan, Brazil, the USA, India, Portugal and Italy.

The trio's entries were chosen along with sixteen others to be screened at an awards ceremony in The Live Room at Twickenham stadium on 30 April. Isaac's film 'Sanctuary' received the Borough Young Film Maker award; Dias' film 'I've got you' received the 'Borough Drama Award and Ben's film 'Cat-astrophe' earned him a special mention.


The public were given a second chance to see the films at a special screening at Richmond upon Thames College's Edmund Kean Theatre on 1 May.
