Teacher's study guide published

Saturday 12 April 2014

Richmond upon Thames College French teacher Dominique Entwistle has recently had her third A level teaching guide published by educational resource provider, Zig Zag.

Getting to Know L'Étranger provides teachers and their students with a comprehensive breakdown of author Albert Camus' literary classic and includes a wide selection of ready-to-use research tasks, worksheets, background information and practice exam questions.

Dominique spent over six months preparing her latest resource, creating a chapter-by-chapter analysis of L'Étranger including special sections on the structure of the novel, the role of the narrator, the sun and women, themes of justice, religion and love and Algerian society.

"As a French teacher, I've written many lesson plans and have always thoroughly enjoyed researching the topics I teach," Dominique explains. "Writing my L'Étranger' study guide for Zig Zag was a pleasure as not only do I get to support my fellow language teachers across the country, I'm also discovering new things about the book and the author that make me enjoy it all over again."

Getting to Know L'Étranger has already received excellent reviews from teachers across the country, and was described by one as "an excellent, comprehensive resource that covers all aspects of this complex but fascinating novel."

Dominique's previous teaching guides for Zig Zag include Getting to Know La Haine and Getting to Know Amélie, both of which have been used by hundreds of language teachers. She is now planning her next guide, Getting to Know Les Intouchables.
