Creative Arts Summer Exhibition

Friday 21 June 2013

On Wednesday 19 June, Richmond upon Thames College showcased the work of its outstanding creative arts and media students with a spectacular end of year exhibition. The event was attended by Councillor Meena Bond, Mayor of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and a former English, theatre studies and psychology student at the College.

As well as exhibiting the work of the College's talented art, media, design and photography students, the showcase also included captivating performances from BTEC performing arts student, Alexander Farley, BTEC music student, Jack Holding, and a performance of Agamemnon from the second year BTEC performing arts students.

Speaking after the event, Councillor Bond praised the level of talent showcased at the exhibition. "I was absolutely amazed by the quality of work displayed by the students," she said. "The creativity and talent displayed across all mediums was brilliant and made me proud to be part of the College's alumni. It was a fantastic success!" Councillor Bond also reserved a special mention for Jack Holding's musical performance (pictured, above), describing the 17 year-old as "an amazing talent to look out for in the future."

The creative arts and media exhibition was open to the general public between 20-25 June.
