This is a part time course, run over 12 weeks. It is one day a week (Wednesdays), from 4pm-9pm.
During this course you will be given the basic skills to work within a catering enviroment and prepare you for the next level of study, should you wish to advance further. The majority of the time spent on the course will be used for practicals, with an hour of theory to cover all aspects not covered in the practicals.

This course is aimed at learners who are 19 years and older, working within the catering industry or have an interest of joining the industry and requires a basic qualification.

Study methods
Most of the course is practical based with a small amount of theory.

How is the course assessed?
All units are practical based assements, once skills have been demonstrated. This is then supported by multi-choice theory papers (no more than 15 questions per unit).

- Full PPE is required, which each student must pay for, however a suppliers list can be issued if required .

Where Next – Further Studies
Many of our students both full-time and part-time have gained employment within the catering industry and have also gained promotion within their working areas or succeed in gaining a position in other relevant industries.
