This course is ideal for someone who wishes to gain a qualification within the fast growing catering industry.
The course will give you an insight into the industry and will allow you to study and work at the same time.
Your training is provided within a professional kitchen, with teachers who have a vast experience within the industry. At the end of this course (which is one day a week - Wednesday evening) you will be ready to either progress to Level 3 or have the knowledge and skills to work in catering.

Experience or knowledge within the catering industry or looking to achieve a qualification in the industry.

Who is the course for?
This course is aimed at anyone over the age of 19 who wishes to progress within the workplace within the catering industry.

Practical training and producing finished dishes, as well as theory in class within the allocated time.

Ongoing assessments and paper based multi choice questionnaires.

Where Next – Job Opportunities
Many of our ex-students have either gone onto HE courses i.e. Kitchen Management or Food Development. Some students have managed to gain recognition within their own workplace and progress within the industry. Other learners have had no experience before attending the course and now have employment within the industry using this as a change of career.

On successful completion of the course the learner can progress to the Level 3 course.
