The Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production and Technology benefits from access to a large TV studio, fully equipped with lighting and green screen.
Students are able to work with a professional cameras and editing software. There is a big emphasis on developing strong technical skills and practical experimentation.
Students are encouraged to develop critical thinking and research skills, as well as confidence collaborating with others and presenting ideas.

Entry requirements
Minimum requirements are 4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) including English and Maths at grade 3. OR Level 1 Diploma at Merit or Distinction in an appropriate subject with GCSE English and Maths at grade 3 or Functional Skills equivalent AND a proven interest in media.

Who is the course for?
Designed for those interested in a career in creative media. With this course you will begin developing the skills required to become a creative practitioner working in the media industry, in roles such as director, screenwriter, editor or camera/lighting operator.

How is the course assessed?
This one year qualification consists of eight units.
You will be given projects that are continually assessed throughout the course.
In the first two terms, units 1-7 will introduce you to key topics and allow you to experiment and develop your skills. You will work both independently and in team on different projects.
In the third and final term, you will produce a self-directed project.
The exhibition of this final project will be assessed and graded as Pass, Merit or Distinction. This will be your final course grade. -
