Student Council
When you become a Student at Richmond upon Thames College you automatically become part of our Student Union. This is part of the National Union of Students (NUS), which is a confederation of students' unions in the United Kingdom.
You can choose how involved in the Student Union you want to be. You may just want to make the most of the perks like the student discount card, TOTUM, which you can find out more and apply for here. Or maybe you want to have your voice heard and represent your class by volunteering to be Class Representative as part of the Student's Voice. You may want to take this a step further and run for a position on our Student Council.
Student Council
The Student Council is comprised of students who are democratically elected by the student body. Any student who has good attendance, behaviour and punctuality may stand for election.
The Student Council manage a budget, liaise with college staff on behalf of students, represent students' views at meetings, plan events and activities, support enrichment activities, and promote Learner Voice across college. Elections for new officers take place every year during the Summer Term.
