Start in January 2017
Full-time courses for 16-18 Year Olds
Please note: if you wish to enrol, come to the college between 9am-4pm on the 12th or 13th of January and ask for Tom Butler at reception. Be sure to bring an academic reference and evidence of your qualification grades to date.
Richmond upon Thames College is offering a selection of Level 1, 2 and 3 courses that will be starting from January 2017, in the areas of Art, Humanities, Catering and IT and Computing.
These 6-month study programmes are ideal if you have or had started at sixth form or college in September 2016 and now realise that perhaps you are or were on the wrong course.
If this sounds like you, do not worry, it is perfectly normal and we can help. From January 2017 you could start on one of the following subjects (click links to see programme information):
- IT and Computing – Level 1
- Professional Cookery – Level 1 and 2
- Creative Arts – Level 2 or Level 3
- Criminology (Humanities) – Level 3
These courses will run from the week commencing 16 January until 1 July 2017 and will provide you with a platform to progress to a different level or to continue with the programme in September 2017. As you know, you have to stay in education, employment or training until you are 18 years old, the January start courses mean that you are able to do this.
Apply and Enrol
We will be holding open information, application and enrolment sessions in January – the dates are highlighted below. You will be able to find out more about the courses, apply, have your interview and enrol on the same day. However, please bear in mind that even though we will enrol you on the day, this is subject to a satisfactory reference from your previous sixth form or college and your qualifications on entry.
- Thursday 5 January, 1-4pm
- Tuesday 10 January, 1-4pm
Please bring your qualifications to date (including GCSEs) and a form of identification to enable you to enrol.
Please also bring with you a reference from your previous school, college or workplace. You can download this form for them to complete.
