This course offers learners a chance to enhance a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities, and attitudes essential for successful performance in working life and career development, underpinned by education and training required for employees in the Mechanical and Electrical sector.

This is a work-related programme reflecting the knowledge, skill and understanding required for progression into employment/ apprenticeship/ higher education, within the Engineering Construction Industry (ECI).

The ECITB will pay you an allowance of £100 per week during term time only, this will be subject to your satisfactory attendance and performance.

  • Entry requirements

    5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above (Mathematics, English, Science and 2 others) and a suitable Level 3 qualification (eg. BTEC National Diploma in Engineering or A-Levels in Mathematics, Physics) to enable further progression onto an HNC programme.

    An excellent opportunity for aspiring engineers of the future that wish to pursue a career within the Engineering Construction Industry (ECI).

    The programme is full-time, class based, with project, workshop and independent based learning.

    The programme will be assessed by various methods depending on the unit, this could be by external exam, set task, assignments, practical activity, and online assessment.
