School Liaison - Visits and Events for Schools

Covid-19

We're still offering a school liaison programme to our local schools, we're just doing it a bit differently. Our Schools Liaison Officer, Olivia, is able to send you online material, that you can use within your school. She is also more than happy to attend virtual events. Olivia is attending some schools in person, as long as they are covid-safe and have been risk assessed. To speak to Olivia about what she can do for your school, please call her on 020 8607 8050 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Assembly Presentations

Our team can deliver a short assembly presentation outlining the opportunities available to students. The presentation can be developed into a class-based workshop providing pupils with detailed information about courses, entry requirements, the application process and student life, as well as outlining the support services available at the college.

Careers Fairs, Options Events and Parents Evenings

Our Schools Liaison team are happy to attend parents' evenings and careers fairs to offer information, advice and guidance (IAG) to parents and pupils about the options available at Richmond upon Thames College after pupils leave school.

Subject Presentations

If your students are particularly interestedin a specific subject area, we are able to taylor information and guidance on course content, career opportunities and progression routes.

Careers Advisors and School Liaison

Our Schools Liaison Officer is also a Careers Advisor, which means that they are able to provide IAG (Information, Advice and Guidance) when dealing with young people at schools. The careers team at RuTC also arrange a careers meeting each year, which provides an opportunity for local careers advisors to get together, network and discuss opportunities for young people.
