Useful Information
Cancellations
If the College cancels a course or changes the dates, days or times and you can no longer attend, you are entitled to a full refund. We will not issue a refund for any other reason.
Please note that all courses for 19+ learners are subject to minimum enrolled numbers. If a course does not enrol an adequate number of students, the course may be cancelled at short notice.
Fees
Fee paying students are required to pay full fees (including any exam/registration fees) at the time of enrolment. Where courses have an exam/registration fee independent of the College, students will be required to pay these fees directly to the exam/registration body in question. If your employer is paying your fees, they will be invoiced at a later date.
For 16, 17 or 18 year olds
If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 on 31 August of the academic year in which your course commences, you may not have to pay tuition or exam/registration fees. Please note that students must meet the costs of all course materials.
Fee Concessions
Richmond upon Thames College offers fee concessions on some courses. If you receive any of the benefits below, you will not be required to pay tuition or exam/registration fees.
Benefits
- Job Seeker's Allowance (JSA) [including the partner where the claim is joint]
- Employment Support Allowance (ESA) in the Work Related Activity Group
- In receipt of a state benefit and want to enter employment and need training skills to do so.
Level 2/3 Entitlement
If the course for which you are applying will give you a full Level 2 or full Level 3 qualification, you may be entitled to a fee concession for your course. Please call our Finance Office on 020 8607 8347 for further information.
If you are claiming a fee concession, you will be required to produce evidence that you are currently receiving one or more of the benefits listed above. You will need to show us a recent letter from the Benefits Agency or Job Centre confirming that you currently receive benefits.
If proof of benefit is not received or does not cover the start date of your course, an invoice will be issued and full payment or a current proof of receipt of benefit will be required. If your personal circumstances change which affects your eligibility for fee concessions, full payment will be required.
