Qualifications and Entry Requirements
Qualifications
Deciding what to do after your GCSEs can seem confusing at first, as there are a lot of options – and it’s not all about A Levels! There are other qualifications that you can choose from that have been designed to suit different learning styles and different career outcomes.
In order to get the best out of your time at college, we recommend you familiarise yourself with the different types of qualifications, how they are taught and what they lead to. Take a look at our Qualifications page to find out more.
Entry Requirements
Entry requirements vary depending on the type of course and the level. For example a typical level 3 vocational/technical qualification would require 5 GCSEs at grades 9-4 grades including English and/or Maths at a grade 4, plus any specialist subjects. You can find out more on our entry requirements page and on each course page on the website.
In addition to our standard entry requirements, we may also seek a reference before enrolment, and we may require candidates to sit an entry assessment. References and entry assessments would typically be required by: candidates with overseas qualifications (including iGCSEs); candidates who are not progressing directly from GCSEs; and/or candidates who have previously been enrolled for A levels/Level 3 qualifications at this or other institutions.
