The Serious, but good to know stuff

  • About us

Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) is one of London's longest established academic and vocational colleges, starting our journey way back in 1937! In 2023 we merged with Harrow and Uxbridge Colleges to form HRUC.

We offer courses for 16-19 year olds and adults, with a reputation for achieving excellent results. But, we are more than just a college: We offer a place for you to mature, challenge yourself, enhance your skills and discover your passions while getting the support, guidance and encouragement you need to be the best you can be.

HRUC also includes the West London Institute of Technology and HRUC Apprenticeships and Skills - who work closely with employers to support their training and workforce development needs.

  • HRUC Vision

To be an outstanding college group that inspires, transforms lives and creates futures.

  • HRUC Mission

To deliver an exceptional learning experience that creates opportunities and success for all.

We stand for diversity, inclusion and excellence throughout everything we do, and provide outcomes that drive personal growth, wellbeing and economic opportunity.

  • The latest from Ofsted

Outstanding Student Behaviour and Personal Development.

“Strong for Skills” are praised in HRUC’s positive Ofsted inspection.

HRUC (Harrow, Richmond, and Uxbridge Colleges), one of the leading further education institutions in London, has been rated “Strong for Skills”, and “Outstanding” for the behaviour and attitudes and personal development of its students, in its latest Ofsted inspection.

HRUC achieved an overall “Good” rating for its educational offerings, leadership, and management.

The inspection, which took place between 12-15 November 2024 across HRUC’s five campuses, highlights the College group’s strong performance across several areas, and its positive impact on students, employers, and the local community.
