AutoCAD Level 2 (Part 2)

This course is an optional add-on to the CAD: AutoCAD level 2 course. As part of the course, you will be using Autodesk's latest AutoCAD software. You will cover the following topics:

  • Making changes to AutoCAD objects
  • Layers, linetypes and inquiry
  • Annotation
  • Hatching objects
  • Dimensioning
  • Reusable AutoCAD content
  • Additional drawing objects
  • Plotting a drawing
  • The new features of the current version

  • What qualification or experience do I need to start the course?

    In order to join this course, you will need to have successfully achieved CAD: Autocad level 2 and have an informal interview with the course tutor.

  • How will I be taught?

    As well as attending classes, you will need to do some work at home - a minimum of 4 hours each week, ideally, but as much time as possible. The online tutorial is available for use at home, and only a small part of this can be covered in class, so the more that you can practice at home, the better.

  • How will I be assessed?

    City and Guilds external exam plus internal examined assessments. You will, however, have constant contact with your tutor throughout the length of the course.

  • What qualification will I get?

    City and Guilds AutoCAD Level 2 qualification.

  • What can the course lead to?

    This course will give you the confidence to be able to work with the latest version of Autodesk’s AutoCAD software. AutoCAD is used by 80% of companies, internationally, working in construction and engineering. CAD technician/draughtsperson are typical roles which might follow from this qualification. This course is a prerequisite for entry on to AutoCAD Level 3.
