Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) is one of London's longest established academic and vocational colleges.
Offering courses for 16-19 year olds and adults, with a strong reputation for achieving excellent results. It is more than just a college, it is a place to mature, challenge yourself, enhance your skill set, discover your passion and experiment while getting the support, guidance and encouragement you need to be the best you can be.
RuTC merged with Harrow and Uxbridge Colleges in 2023 to form HRUC.
HRUC also includes the West London Institute of Technology and HRUC Apprenticeships & Skills - who work closely with employers to support their training and workforce development needs.

Outstanding Student Behaviour and Personal Development and “Strong for Skills” are Praised in HRUC’s Positive Ofsted Inspection
HRUC (Harrow, Richmond, and Uxbridge Colleges), one of the leading further education institutions in London, has been rated “Strong for Skills”, and “Outstanding” for the behaviour and attitudes and personal development of its students, in its latest Ofsted inspection. HRUC achieved an overall “Good” rating for its educational offerings, leadership, and management. The inspection, which took place between 12-15 November 2024 across HRUC’s five campuses, highlights the College group’s strong performance across several areas, and its positive impact on students, employers, and the local community.

- Range of courses: our curriculum offer includes A-Levels, Vocational and Technical courses, Apprenticeships, Access to Higher Education and Higher Education, ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and courses for adult learners such as AAT Accounting.

There is a wonderful Student Services team that offers counselling and welfare services and additional learning support for those who need a little extra help.
- Excellent facilities: our campus in Twickenham boasts a new building that opened in 2020 with specialist classrooms and studios, a new sports field, a new-look sports centre and gym and a cutting-edge Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) Centre that opened in 2025.
- Location: we are located on a large campus opposite the world famous Twickenham Rugby Stadium. Our students come from all over London and enjoy studying and training in our friendly and encouraging environment.
