Contemporary Jewellery for Beginners
The course is designed to help you develop practical skills relating to the demonstrated contemporary jewellery techniques. The skills learned on the course and the work produced can help with the development of an art portfolio and provide a new dimension to your own existing creative practice or as a progression opportunity towards other part-time or full-time creative courses, including the Access to HE Diploma in Art and Design

Introduction to Digital Photography
This course will introduce you to creative and fun photographic workshops. It is a hands-on practical course that will help improve your skills and confidence when taking pictures with your Digital camera. We will walk you through the camera menu, shooting functions, manual exposure, file formats/image quality, framing/composition, ambient and flash lighting.

Printmaking for Beginners
Ever wondered what printmaking was all about? Our introduction to printmaking course offers a new and modern insight into the world of print. During this course you will experiment with an exciting range of media and will learn traditional techniques with a new contemporary twist. You will explore a range of printmaking techniques including lino cutting, mono-print, letterpress, dry point etching and screen print. This course is suitable for anyone who would like to learn the basics of printmaking or for anyone looking to further develop their printmaking practice.

Tuesday 21st February - Tetra Pack Intaglio Printing
With its layers of paperboard, polyethylene, aluminum foil, Tetra Pak offers not only an immediacy which other collagraph materials lack, but also a satisfying tactility when cutting, scoring, peeling, and printing with this distinctive material.
REQUIREMENTS: The participants must bring drawings, notes or sketches of the project that they want to work on during the workshop. They should also bring tetra pack of maximum size A4.
Wednesday 22nd February - Experimental Chine-Colle and Etching
Students will experiment with etching and chine collé techniques by using several non-traditional printing and gluing methods. Learn how to print onto thin, translucent paper with multiple plates, repeats, ghosts,
bleeds, folding, and stacking. Use chine collé methods to create unique, layered pieces and even integrate old prints, drawings, or watercolors into your work.
REQUIREMENTS: The participants must bring drawings, notes, or sketches of the project that they want to work on during the workshop.
Thursday 23rd Febraury - Collograph
Explore collagraph techniques to make collaged blocks with card and found materials, to create images that explore surface and texture.
REQUIREMENTS: The participants must bring found material like thread, textured paper, flat textured objects etc.
Friday 24th February - Watercolor Monoprinting Technique
Watercolour Monotype printing is a fun technique to achieve painterly effects in the print. The plate is prepared in such a way that it holds the color and is printed on the damp paper.
REQUIREMENTS: The participants must bring watercolors, brushes, and sketches of the project that they want to work on during the workshop.
