George chose an apprenticeship because: “it is the next best step after school. It allows you to continue learning in a new environment with new people. The fact you also get paid gives a lot more people the urge to be dedicated.”
George most enjoys: “the wide variety of different jobs that I get asked to do. Every day is a different job and they all get done in new ways that I haven’t seen before, therefore I am always learning new things.”
RuTC have supported George by: “finding the right course for me to suit my job.”
Lessons learnt so far: “I have learnt a wide variety of new skills in joinery and first and second fix carpentry since I first started at Richmond. I have also found out a lot more about Health and Safety regulations. It’s interesting to learn about where all
of the materials we use come from.”

Film sets
“After I have finished my course I would really love to carry on working on film sets if not commercials as I love the scene and can’t wait to go to work every day!”
