Apprenticeships offer a great opportunity to get your career going and are available to people of all ages. Whether you are just starting out, hoping to enhance your careers, or looking for a change in direction, an apprenticeship is a great place to start!

Apprenticeships are training development programmes that incorporate an actual job role. Allowing you to gain technical and functional knowledge and practical experience required to do the job effectively.

Apprentices earn a wage whilst learning, gain a nationally recognised qualification and receive professional on the job training from their employer.

You will work as a contracted employee with full training, working alongside experienced staff, which will put you a step ahead on the career ladder.

    We offer a range of different apprenticeships and each one is individually designed to support progress and career goals. We are continually developing our apprenticeship programmes so they meet employer demands and are in line with industry requirements.

  • Apprenticeship levels you can study

    Apprenticeships can be studied at a level to suit you, from Level 2 all the way up to university-level:

    Name Apprenticeship level Equivalent
    Intermediate 2 5x GCSES grades A*-C or 9-4
    Advanced 3 2x A Levels
    Higher 4, 5, 6 & 7 Foundation Degree and above
    Degree 6 & 7 Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • Apprenticeship entry requirements

    Apprenticeship entry requirements will depend on your chosen programme and the apprenticeship level. The employer may also have some specific requirements to their job roles. Please see apprenticeship vacancies for specific entry requirements.

  • Who is an apprenticeship for?

    Apprenticeships aren’t restrictive. You can choose to start an apprenticeship at any point in your education journey. Anyone over the age of 16 and living in England can do an apprenticeship – there’s no upper age limit!

    If you have a particular career goal in mind then an apprenticeship programme could be ideally suited to you, providing the specific set of skills you need to get there. Apprenticeships are also great for those already in employment looking to develop their existing skills and knowledge.

    We will support you with your application and throughout the whole process, from your initial interview to your first day in your new role. You will also benefit from regular visits to your workplace to ensure you are progressing at the right pace.
