  • What happens after you apply?

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email from us.

Applications for all 16-18 courses (apart from Creative Media)

Following your confirmation email, you will receive a further email from us which will contain a link to the Eventbrite booking system. Through this, you will be able to choose a date and time for your interview.

Once this has been booked, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite.

A few days later, you will receive a further email from us which will confirm the arrangements for your interview.

You will also receive a reminder email and text message from us two days before your interview and on the day of your interview.

    Applications for Creative Media courses

If you have applied for a Creative Media course, you will receive an email asking for you to forward some work to our Media team.

Upon receipt of this, our Media team will contact you to arrange a suitable date and time for your interview.

    Adult courses

Please note that applications for adult courses are generally processed nearer to the start date of the individual course. Depending upon the course you have applied for, you may be asked to attend an interview/trial/assessment.

Please contact the Admissions team via  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or 020 8607 8302 if you would like to discuss the process for your chosen course.

  • Conditional offer

If your interview/audition is successful, you will receive a conditional offer. This means that as long as your meet the entry requirements for the course and attend your allotted Enrolment date, then you will secure your place on your course of choice.

The course’s entry requirements will be listed on your conditional offer email, which will be sent to you a few days after your successful interview. You can also find them on the specific subject course page or on our Entry Requirements page.

If you are not made an offer at your interview/audition, we will discuss alternative options with you and if you are interested in a different course, we will arrange an interview for you with that course.

  • Application closing date

We do not have an official closing date for applications, but we advise that you apply as early as possible during the academic year to secure your place on the course you want to study.

  • Enrolment

Enrolment is the final stage of the application process and will take place from GCSE results day onwards.

During your Enrolment session, we add your details to the system to make you an official Richmond upon Thames College student and finalising your place at the College.

Details about Enrolment will be sent to you via email in late-July/early-August. If possible, we ask that you try to avoid booking any holidays from GCSE results day onwards as, if you are unavailable, this may jeopardise your place at the College.

  • Applying for an Apprenticeship

Applying for an Apprenticeship is a little different to applying for A Levels or a vocational course. Apprenticeships are jobs with training and qualifications, so rather than applying for the course, you apply for the job. You can search our Apprenticeship vacancies by clicking the button below.
