This month Tim Pond, Lecturer in Graphic Communications and Illustration at Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC), has been recognised for his expertise in wildlife illustration by a high-end international magazine, 3D Artist. The publication is sold at leading retailers such as WH Smith at £6 per issue and provides a portfolio of high quality tutorial-based products to help those pursuing a career in graphics. Tim is featured in the 99th issue of the magazine, where he exclusively reveals tips for accuracy in drawing anatomical art.
RuTC Hosts Coffee Morning for Macmillan CancerTuesday 4 October 2016
On Friday 30th September Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) participated in ‘The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, a charitable fundraising campaign organised by Macmillan Cancer. Last year Macmillan raised £25 million through the event and this year RuTC were proud to contribute over £500 to the fundraiser.

On Thursday 8th September, Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) invited students, parents, staff and local dignitaries to celebrate outstanding student achievements. The ceremony took place in the beautiful setting of York House, Twickenham, where guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés prepared by the college’s catering students. The ceremony’s 150 attendees included the Deputy Mayor of Richmond, Kate Howard, RuTC’s Chair of Governors, Cathy Bird, Twickenham’s MP, Tania Mathias and Richmond Chamber of Commerce’s CEO, Anne Newton.

On Tuesday’s 11th October Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) actively celebrated Women’s Football Week by organising taster sessions for female students at the college. No experience or further commitment was required in order to attend the session, instead it was a fun introduction to football open to all students interested in the sport.
