Richmond upon Thames College (RuTC) is celebrating another impressive set of A level results and is delighted to announce a 99% pass rate. This year, 168 students sat A level exams and the pass rate for A*-C grades is 70.4%, a 2.4% increase on last year.
Dr Jason Jones, Principal at RuTC, said, “I am absolutely delighted with our A level students’ results again this year. As in all schools and colleges, the past year has been another challenging one for the students and staff at Richmond upon Thames College, with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and much of the academic year spent in lockdown and with adapted approaches to teaching and learning. This year’s results demonstrate our students’ continuing hard work, resilience and determination to achieve their full potential, along with the commitment from staff to ensure students were well supported, achieved well and fulfilled their future ambitions.
“Everyone at Richmond upon Thames College wishes each student all the best in the next stage of their journey whether it be going to university, starting an apprenticeship programme or going directly into employment.
“Along with our impressive A level results, our students taking Level 3 vocational qualifications have also performed very well, with large numbers of students progressing to university.
“We currently have 300 students with firm university places and this number continues to increase as students accept their places.
“Congratulations to all our students for everything you have achieved during the past two years in the most challenging of circumstances. I wish you every success for the future.”
