"It was fantastic to see the acts perform so confidently in front of a packed theatre," said Frank Fashesin, Youth Worker at the College. "Everyone behind the scenes worked tirelessly on the event so that students could appreciate the positive impact black afro-Caribbean culture has made to civilization. Judging by the audience reaction, the celebration evening did that in style and the students should be proud of their efforts."

Richmond upon Thames College celebrated Black History Month on Wednesday 17 October with a mix of dance, fashion, spoken word and music performances in the Edmund Kean Theatre. The event, organised by students from the enrichment special project group, paid tribute to the influence black culture has had across the world.
