On Friday 7 December, students from Richmond upon Thames College enjoyed a question and answer session with Zac Goldsmith, MP for Richmond Park and North Kingston. The Conservative MP spent over 90 minutes with the College's history and politics students, discussing a wide range of subjects including the political process, voter apathy, youth unemployment and class.

Ife Thompson (pictured above, left) was one of the RuTC students to question Mr Goldsmith. "I asked how he could represent poorer people in the local Borough when he'd had such a privileged upbringing," she explains. "He gave a really good answer and made me realise that not all MPs are out of touch and that some are actually quite approachable. I really enjoyed meeting him!"
