Richmond upon Thames College’s 2021 annual Winter Music Concert was one of its most successful yet, raising £450 for youth charity, Young Minds.
The annual Winter Music Concert took place on Wednesday, 24th of November and included a range of performances by the Colleges Level 3 Music Performance and Production students.
The students helped to organise and set-up the concert as well as performing in front of a packed-out audience and performances included renditions of alternative rock, pop music, classical music, Irish traditional music and positive rap.
£450 was raised for the Young Minds Charity through ticket sales and donations to the Richmond upon Thames College ‘JustGiving’ page in aid of the Winter Concert.
Performing Arts Teacher, Peter Garvey commented, “Last night’s concert was very successful: we had a large and very enthusiastic crowd, plus excellent performances and organisation from the students: we’re very proud of them.”
He continues, “The money raised is going to a charity close to our college’s heart. It will be well spent, helping to combat adolescent mental health challenges.”
Young Minds Charity campaigns for all children and young people's mental health by providing young people with reassurance and advice to help them make positive choices for their mental health and know what to do next if they are struggling.
