On Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 December, first and second year Level 3 dance students performed at the college’s Christmas Performance, ‘Come Alive’. Over 100 visitors watched paintings come to life as the dancers performed in a variety of styles ranging from upbeat jazz routines to more lyrical contemporary numbers and some of the numbers even choreographed by the students themselves.
Hannah Fryer, Performing Arts lecturer at RuTC, said: “We were thrilled with the students’ performance in ‘Come Alive’, they worked extremely hard this term to excel in different genres of dance. This show was a challenge but the students rose to the task and have received wonderful reviews of their performances.”
