On Tuesday 4 December, the college was pleased to welcome two of London’s leading employers, Dexter’s Estate Agents and casting company, Jina Jay Casting. Representatives from the two companies gave separate talks to students on careers in the property sector and film and TV industry.

Brandon Van Der Westhuizen, Recruitment Director for Dexter’s Estate Agents, met with business students and offered practical advice on preparing for interviews and a personal account of his journey in the property business. Students were also offered the chance to have a week’s work experience which could potentially lead to longer term career opportunities with the firm.

Brandon said “Dexter’s look forward to setting up a working relationship that can benefit all of us going forward and most importantly the students in their career.”

Jina Jay and Olivia Brittain from Jina Jay Casting held a Q&A session with art and media students. During the session, they shared honest accounts of their personal experiences of working in the film and TV industry. The event was a huge success and students were invited to contact the company for work experience or a potential referral to other companies within the creative network.
