Who to contact about any problems with my online application?
What information will I need to complete my online application?
It should be relatively simple to complete your online application, but it would be useful if you had the following to hand:
- An idea of what course you want to apply for, although if you prefer you can select the 'Advice Only Interview' option if you would like to come in for an initial chat.
- An email address. You must have an email address to create an account as this is how we will be communicating with you throughout the process.
- A mobile phone number. We may need to text you about your application on occasion.
- The details of your parent or guardian, including address, contact numbers and an email address (if possible).
- Your GCSE predicted grades. If you're not sure of these don't worry, just include a rough estimate. We will contact your school to confirm these are correct.
The details of your school. You can select from a drop-down list which includes 100 secondary schools. If your school isn't listed, select 'other'.
What if my current/previous school is not on the drop-down list?
Just select 'other'. You can then enter the details of your school.
What if I don't know my predicted grades?
Just provide a rough estimate. Don't worry if you don't know, we will contact your school to confirm.
How will I be contacted?
We would normally contact you via the email address you have provided on your online application.
What if I want to change the subjects I chose on my online application?
Don't worry, you can change any of your subject choices at the interview stage of the process. You can continue to change any of your subject choices until the end of June 2013.
What should I do if my contact details change?
I don't have access to a computer at home, how can I apply?
Is there a deadline for online applications?
Not really, but we would advise you to apply as soon as possible to ensure you are offered the maximum number of choices.
What happens after I submit my online application?
We will first contact your school for a reference, then invite you to attend an interview.
Does the system allow you to transfer A Levels?
What if I'm not sure which course to apply for?
Just select the 'Advice Only Interview' option when applying, and we'll invite you in for a chat.
What if I have overseas qualifications?
This is fine, you can still add these under the 'Qualifications' section of the online application.
What if I don't have the predicted grades for my course?
Probably. We will discuss alternatives with you at the interview stage.
What if I have non-GCSE/technical qualifications (not GCSEs/technical)?
Don't worry, we can discuss these with you at the interview stage.
I don't have an email address, can I still apply?
Unfortunately not. You will need to create an email address before you start the online application process or use the email address of your parent/guardian.
