Men's, Mixed and Women's
2016-17 Volleball Academy for All Genders (ages 16-19)
Every Tuesday starting 4th October 2016, 16.00-18.00 in the Sports Centre
The Volleyball Academy provides a base for young male and female players who aspire to play top flight volleyball with London clubs, for example the College's local club, Richmond Volleyball Club, and elite clubs such as Malory Volleyball Club.
Since the Volleyball Academy was founded in the early 1980s by Bill Black (former England coach) it has continued to attract talented coaches. The academy's previous coach Carol Gordon had over 20 years experience as a player and coach with the National League, and also managed the England and Great Britain men's squads between 1989-1996.
The 2013/14 season was the Acadmey's most succesful, with the Men's and Women's teams qualifying at the London Region champions for the BCS National Championships and the women's team being crowned National Champions having won the BCS National Knock Out Cup.
The Academy squads are entered for the British Colleges sport leagues, cups and regional championships and the local London league.
Many of our Volleyball Academy players have gone on to represent club and country as players or coaches.
