UAL Drama Level 3 presents ‘4.48 Psychosis’. This was the last work of controversial British playwright Sarah Kane. Soon after her twenty-eighth birthday, having completed the play, she took her own life. The title of the play derives from the time, 4:48 a.m., when Kane, in her depressed state, often woke. 4.48 Psychosis was written throughout the winter of 1998-99 as Kane battled with one of her recurrent bouts of depression. On the page, the piece looks like a poem. No characters are named, and even their number is unspecified. It could be a journey through one person's mind, or an interview between a doctor and his patient.
The production is on Wednesday 5 June at 7pm in the the Edmund Kean Theatre at RuTC. This performance was created and will be perfomed by UAL Level 3 Diploma in Performing and Production Arts - Drama studdents.
