During the course of the year you will study at least 8 units and your journey will introduce you to the way travel agents work and how they plan and book customer holidays. You will discover some of the more exotic worldwide holiday destinations and what attracts tourists to them. The course will also cover the roles and responsibilities of holiday representatives in ensuring the customer's holiday is as problem-free as it can be.
The travel and tourism industry is a service industry and customer service is an important part of what you will study. You will learn why this is so important to delivering the customer's 'dream holiday' and you will develop the skills required through role-play practice and assessments.
You will work as part of a group and individually to complete your research and the course will also involve you going on visits and attending presentations from guest speakers.
