The units that are covered include:
• Being Organised
• Developing a Personal Progression Plan
• Working with Others
• Researching a Topic
• Developing digital information using IT
• Using digital communication technologies
• Creating spreadsheets to solve problems
• Developing interactive presentations
• Recording income and expenditure
• Branding a product
These will all be studied through interesting and interactive lessons and exciting projects. Each unit has its own assessment criteria and assignment. To pass you must complete all 10 units. You will be given lots of support and regular feedback from teachers.
ICT Level 1
Want a career in IT, digital media, marketing or business? This course is specifically designed to introduce you to digital industries. Studying interesting and exciting units across the fields of IT, digital media, and business; you’ll gain the skills and knowledge to progress onto level 2 courses and/or careers in these industries.

How is the course assessed?
The course is assessed through assignments and your final grade will be made based on the work you have completed throughout the year.

What skills will I need for the course?
You should have a keen interest in computer technology. You will be expected to attend 100% of the time and put effort into completing all set assignments within set deadlines.

What formal entry requirements will I need?
A high interest in ICT with Entry level 3 in Maths and English.

What are my progression options?
After finishing the course, you could go on to study a level 2 qualification in IT, such as Networking and Cyber Security Level 2, digital media, or Business Level 2. Alternatively, you could undertake a level 2 apprenticeship or a career in these industries
