Students study retakes in GCSE English and Maths, alongside GCSE courses in combined science and psychology Overall on the programme, you will learn to develop your skills of analysis, spoken and written expression and build up your confidence with sessions on exam technique and progression routes at the College following your retakes.
Studying GCSE combined science involves studying biology, chemistry and physics and is the equivalent to two GCSEs. This course will prepare you for going on to A level science or other level 3 science courses such as forensic science level 3. You will cover a wide variety of topics including cell biology, genetics, states of matter, the periodic table, energy & forces and electromagnetism. You will have both practical and theory lessons.
Psychology is the scientific study of the human mind and the way that individuals behave. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of psychology, developing critical analysis, independent thinking and research skills. You will cover topics such as memory and perception, language and communication and psychological problems.
